Health Calculator FAQs
What is a healthy BMI range?
BMI categories are: Underweight (< 18.5), Normal Weight (18.5-24.9), Overweight (25-29.9), and Obese (≥ 30). A healthy BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9. However, BMI doesn't account for muscle mass, so consult a doctor for a complete assessment.
How many calories should I eat daily?
Daily calorie needs depend on age, gender, weight, height, and activity level. Our calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation to calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), then multiplies by your activity factor. Average adults need 2000-2500 calories daily.
How much water should I drink daily?
A common recommendation is the "8x8 rule" (8 glasses of 8 oz each = 2 liters). However, individual needs vary based on weight, activity level, and climate. Our calculator uses the formula: Weight (kg) × activity factor to determine your specific needs.
What are macronutrients?
Macronutrients are carbohydrates, proteins, and fats - the three nutrients your body needs in large quantities. A balanced diet typically contains 45-65% carbs, 10-35% protein, and 20-35% fats. Needs vary based on fitness goals.
How accurate is the pregnancy due date calculator?
The calculator estimates your due date based on your Last Menstrual Period (LMP) and cycle length. However, this is just an estimate. Only 5% of babies are born on the exact due date. Always confirm with your doctor.
